Krillion rules: seven prompts, rarer answers score

Krillion rules in plain language: seven shared prompts, 25-second rounds, rarity scoring, and what the official site does not publish. Independent. Fan-made.

2026-10-08 · updated 2026-10-08

Provisional Krillion wordmark in cyan on a dark navy background Krillion rules are the constraints on a single answer, not a law of tier names. Krillion rules, as printed by the site, are few. Everyone gets the same seven prompts that day. Each prompt gives you 25 seconds. A rare accepted answer sinks you deeper. An obvious one barely counts.

Read Krillion rules as a filter on what this wiki is willing to repeat. If a chart names six depths and assigns a point value, it is not a Krillion rule we can cite. The official FAQ explains how rarity is judged, and it does not publish those bands.

The rules that are actually written down

Krillion rules cover the shape of the day and the direction of the score. They also cover a few judgments the FAQ spells out. An answer can be missing because the merged data set never had it. The gem answer, the Krillion, is picked for rarity and for being enjoyable, so it is not always the rarest legal hit. A "too clever" answer is the fake long shot that the crowd shares.

Krillion rules do not include a requirement to log in. They do not include a fee to play the daily dive. Packs are a separate surface. They are marked free for now and beta, and the page warns that answers and scoring may have issues. A script label with a dollar amount is not treated as the current price, because it conflicts with the page you can read.

There is no rule that says the day flips at a named hour. Reset handling exists in the front end. A public clock time was not found, so Krillion rules on this page do not invent one. There is no rule that multiplayer is open. The FAQ says it is not, and that a party game is a later idea.

How an answer is accepted

The pool is built from dictionaries, wikis, and encyclopedias, then cleaned. Frequency in ordinary reading and writing scores the prompts that can be scored that way. Other prompts use a language model and a human pass. That is the acceptance story. It is not a promise that every true answer is in the pool.

If Krillion rules reject something you are sure is valid, the official explanation is a data miss, not a hidden penalty. Sending that to support@krillion.io is the path the site itself offers. This wiki cannot add the word to the official pool.

Fair expectations

Krillion rules also describe what the site keeps. Daily answer text is dropped after the check. A score and a random id can remain so the site can compare you with other divers. Practice answers may be kept to tune the model. Friends data stays on a board only you can see. Discord Activity does not share progress with the website.

Those storage rules matter more than a fan point table. They tell you why a third-party page should not claim to hold the official key for today. Krillion rules, on that point, are strict: the official site did not retain the daily answers for us to copy.

How a round works on the official site

The homepage calls Krillion the daily dive. Seven prompts a day are the same for everyone. Rare answers sink you deeper. Obvious ones barely count. The site's own line is "one in a krillion."

Interface copy reads "7 rounds · 25 seconds each · rarer answers run farther" and "25 seconds to name one thing." That is the round. You name one fitting thing before the window closes. A more common answer barely moves the dive. A rarer accepted answer runs farther.

The result image is a dive log, and deeper means rarer. The daily share pattern in the official front end is the word Krillion, a dive number, a shrimp emoji, a score, and emoji for each round. Unlimited and archive shares use different marks. This guide does not invent the score that belongs in that line.

A finished daily run stores a score and a random player id. The privacy page says that pair is how the site computes "better than X% of divers." The answers you submitted for the daily are checked and then discarded. They are not kept as a public key. A free practice dive is different. Practice answers can be recorded so scoring can be tuned.

Some prompts are scored from a database of how often a word or name shows up in what people read and write. Prompts that cannot be counted that way use a language model plus a human pass. The answer pool is merged from dictionaries, wikis, and encyclopedias, then cleaned. If a real answer is rejected, the FAQ says the source data missed it.

The gem on a prompt is called the Krillion. It is not chosen only because it is the rarest hit. It also has to be enjoyable, so it can be less rare than some other obscure answer. "Too clever" is the obscure-looking pick that everyone makes. It is not actually rare.

You can play without an account. A Google account can sync progress. Friends, at krillion.io/friends, are optional. That board is visible only to you and only includes friends. Discord Activity is a way to play inside Discord. Its progress is separate from the website. The menu also links Chainle, described as a word-association game made by the developer's little brother, and a merch shop at shop.krillion.io. Those are not Krillion modes.

The game is run by one person. The FAQ says it is not a team. The privacy page says the same. The site does not print the person's name, so this guide does not either. Mail for support is support@krillion.io. The domain krillion.io was registered on 18 July 2026. That registration date is not a published launch date.

Mediavine serves ads. The FAQ says any one pack unlock removes ads across the site. Pack pages currently say "Free for now · BETA" and that answers and scoring may have issues. A label in the site's script mentions a dollar unlock. Those two signals disagree, so no price is stated here. There is no app yet. The FAQ says one is planned. Multiplayer is not available yet. A party game based on Krillion is only described as a plan.

FAQ

What are the core Krillion rules?

Seven shared prompts, 25 seconds to name one thing, and rarer accepted answers scoring further than obvious ones.

Do Krillion rules publish point values for each depth?

No point bands or tier names were found on the official pages used for this guide, so none are listed.

What if a correct answer is rejected?

The FAQ says the source data can miss a valid answer. The contact address on the site is support@krillion.io.

Is two-player play one of the Krillion rules today?

No. Multiplayer is not available yet. The FAQ only says it is planned.

Searchers type "Krillion rules" because they want a procedure. The procedure is the official one. "Krillion rules" on this site means that procedure plus the limits above, not a cloned answer board. When "Krillion rules" shows up in a video title beside a script, a tier chart, or a claimed reset hour, those extras are not part of the source this page accepts.

Open the official Krillion homepage for the daily dive, and use the mode URL named earlier when you want that mode. Then come back here only if you need the constraint list. "Krillion rules" should leave you knowing what is published, what is beta, and what this wiki refuses to invent.
