Krillion scoring: why rarer answers sink you deeper

How Krillion scoring works: seven rounds of 25 seconds, rarer answers that run farther, and a share line you fill in yourself. No made-up point values.
Krillion scoring rewards answers other people do not pick. The official description says seven prompts a day are the same for everyone, rare answers sink you deeper, and obvious ones barely count. Krillion scoring is not a published point table. This page explains the rules that are public and gives you a 25-second practice timer.
Use the timer to feel a round. It does not connect to krillion.io, it does not store an answer, and it cannot tell you whether a word is rare. When you want the real daily dive, open the official Krillion site.
Practice timer

25s
Official rounds are 25 seconds. This timer does not submit an answer and does not calculate a score.
Share line, filled only with what you type:
Krillion #<number> <score you already earned>
What Krillion scoring actually publishes
A round gives you 25 seconds to name one thing that fits the prompt. There are seven rounds in the daily dive. Interface copy on the official site says rarer answers run farther. The result image is a dive log where deeper means rarer. That is the whole public model of Krillion scoring. Named depth tiers and numeric cutoffs are not in the pages we checked, so they are not listed here.
| Published rule | What it means |
|---|---|
| Seven prompts | The daily set is shared. Everyone faces the same seven prompts that day. |
| 25 seconds | Each round is a short window to name one thing. |
| Rarer answers run farther | An obvious answer barely counts. A rare accepted answer sinks the dive deeper. |
| No published point table | Do not trust a fan chart of tier names or max scores. Those values were not on the official pages we used. |
How rarity is decided
The official FAQ says some prompts are scored from a database of how often a word or name appears in what people read and write. Prompts that cannot be quantified use a language model plus a human pass. Answer lists are merged from dictionaries, wikis, and encyclopedias, then cleaned. If your answer was missing, the developer says the source data left it out.
The gem answer on a prompt, called the Krillion, is not only the rarest hit. The FAQ says it also has to be fun, so it can be less rare than some other obscure answers. A pick that feels clever but everyone else also makes is called too clever, and it is not actually rare.
What this tool will not do
| Request | Why this page refuses it |
|---|---|
| Today's answer key | Daily answers are not republished here. The privacy page says a visitor's daily answers are checked and then discarded. |
| A numeric Krillion scoring formula | Cutoffs are unpublished. Inventing them would be a fake calculator. |
| A reset clock | The site has reset logic, but no public clock time we can quote. |
| Multiplayer scoring | Multiplayer is not live. The FAQ says it may come later, along with a party game. |
Where else scoring shows up
Unlimited play is at the official unlimited classic page, and its share line uses an infinity mark instead of a daily number. The archive can resurface aired dailies, with a different share mark. Themed packs for Geography, Sports, At the Movies, and Words and Language are marked free for now and beta, and the site warns that answers and scoring may have issues. A price is not stated here because the public label and an older unlock label do not agree.

FAQ
Does this page calculate a Krillion scoring total?
No. Official tier cutoffs and point ranges are not published on krillion.io, so this page will not invent them. Type a score only if your own result already showed it.
How many rounds does a daily dive use?
The official site says seven prompts a day, the same for everyone, with 25 seconds to name one thing on each round. Rarer answers run farther.
What does the share line look like?
The official front-end uses a pattern like Krillion #, then a score, plus per-round emoji. This tool only prints the number and score you type.
Is multiplayer part of Krillion scoring?
No. The official FAQ says a multiplayer mode is not available yet. Scoring described here is for the published daily, unlimited, archive, and pack play.
